Xiangshan hiking trail
Xiangshan hiking trail is a great half-day hiking trail for early risers. The three entrances are all within 15-20 minute walking distance to the Xinyi commercial circle. Xiangshan is only 183m high, and because of its convenience as well as beautiful scenery, it is perfect spot for dates with a great night view.
If the weather is good, you can see the entire Taipei basin from the mountain, and see as far as the Tamsui River mouth. During Chinese New Year’s Eve, areas with great view on the mountain will be filled with crowds of photographer ready to capture the firework show at Taipei 101.
The mountain also has attractions include one-line sky, six giant rocks and Yanzi Temple which provide nice distractions and resting points during the hike. Once you come off the mountain, you can look for Findaday brunch shop to enjoy charcoal toast with soy milk, giving you energy for the rest of the day. There are also other traditional dumplings, bun and cold noodles shops if you want other choices to refuel your body.
