Huaxi Street night market

Huaxi Street night market was Taiwan’s first tourist night market, famous for selling various delicacies from the wild. The early Huaxi Street night market was well known for its live snake slaughtering and cooking, but in the current climate of animal protection, these shops have sharply declined in numbers, but there are still a few of these shops where brave gourmets can visit.

The feature of Huaxi night market is that the food vendors are all very traditional with over 3 decades of history, such as Beigang sweet soup’s mocha, Yongbo Mitamu noodles soup, Han Ji goose, as well as traditional mix noodles and braised pork on rice. You can enjoy these delicious good and see how Taipei used to look.
