Beitou hot spring museum

Originally the largest public hot spring bathhouse in Taiwan that emulate the Izushan bathhouse in Japan, the venue has become the current Beitou hot spring museum after renovation by Beitou residents and the Taipei city government. The building is also a class three national monument.

The bath area on the first floor has now been divided into the Beitou hot spring bath exhibition area, Beitou stone exhibition area and Beitou hot spring exhibition area, while the second floor rest area has been divided into the Beitou hot spring development history exhibition area, belvedere exhibition area, tatami activity hall exhibition area, multimedia audiovisual room, Beitou industry exhibition area, Taiwan Hollywood exhibition and Beitou specialty room.

Visitors can first enjoy an outing on Yangming Mountain and then visit the museum which is free of charge. The Beitou public library is also next to the museum, and is a well known green building that provide public space for reading and researching.
