Shi-da night market

In Taiwan, there is bound to be food vendors near a university. The Shi-da night market is adjacent to the National Taiwan Normal University’s student residence, providing students with dinner, late night snacks and daily necessities.

Shi-da night market is well known due to its proximity to NTNU. What is different in Shi-da night market is that the clothing stores here are relatively cheap, so many foreign visitors and students often come here to shop. Nonetheless, numerous well-known food vendors such as Shui Ji pan-fried stuff bun, Hohomei pineapple bun, Lantern luwei, Zi Fang Zhong Di salt chicken and the numerous inexpensive Yunnan-Thai restaurants are frequented by visitors.

The goods and food at this market tend to be very diverse, for the younger generation, inexpensive, and more recent, which is why students and tourist often come to this night market, not to mention many different TV programs that come to film live in the market.
